Is The Course the same for every student?
The video and text course are the same for everyone, but the mentoring sessions will be designed by your mentor to fit your individual goals. For example, some of our students are equity traders and the sessions have been designed to help them use options to more effectively trade equities. While some of our students are futures traders who wanted to learn how to trade options on futures and their sessions and assignments were designed accordingly. While still others were interested in becoming full-time equity options traders and their course were also custom fitted for them. When you begin the course you will have a free “get to know you” session with your mentor who will then design your individual program to fit your individual goals.
How long does the course take?
That’s up to you. We can design the program to fit around your schedule. Our Head Options Mentor, Dan Keegan reccomends that every options student go through a couple of expiration cycles or about three months in order to truly understand the effect of time on options. We have stretched the program out as long as a year, but three to six months is reccomended.
Do I have to be available at specific times in order to participate in mentoring sessions?
We will do our best to accommodate you and your schedule. Our mentors will work with their students to schedule their sessions at a time that works for mentor and student.
Will I have access to recordings of my sessions?
Yes, all of your sessions will be recorded and put in a file that only you and your mentor can acces so that you can refer to them at any time.
Do you only teach options on stocks?
No, our options mentors can teach you how to trade options on futures, ETFs, Forex, or anything else that options are listed on.
What are the system requirements to take either this program?
Basically you just need a computer built in this century and an internet connection.
The video courses and the PDF of our text will be placed in your secure online file. The videos can be provided to you in either a Windows Media File or as a Quicktime file if you have MAC.
All of your mentoring sessions will be done online via Go To Meeting. There is no need to download anything on to your computer for you log on to a Go To Meeting session. Just click on the link from the email from your mentor inviting you to a pre-arranged mentoring session and Go To Meeting takes care of the rest. If you do not have a microphone or speakers on your computer (almost every computer sold today has both), or if you just prefer a headset with headphones and microphone, we will send you one free of charge. Each session will be recorded and placed in your online file.
In order to use the Options House Options Platform all you will need is a standard computer with a 1 GHz processor or better, and 512 MB or better of Ram. The platform can operate on Windows or Mac.
Do I need a background in business or finance to take these courses?
